Tis a new and old day

Yes the weather continues to be cold and so I am once again reminded by the echoe of my grandma's voice in reminding me to dress warmly and always bring a warm coat wherever I am because of the fact that I am in SF.

It was a most interesting day indeed. I just started my part time job at a place that I once used to work at before. I am doing PA work on KTSF news. It's been pretty cool so far, I took two snack breaks, and the guy who is training me is a funny and yet chill guy named Joseph.

So I reminded him that I am kind of slow at technical stuff, so I might need a few traning sessions before I actual get going on my own with some of this stuff. I have enjoyed myself thus far... also because of the people. My fave comment that I can always expect from older Asian people are... "Why Judy... you look like you put on some weight." Well, I got to say that it would definitely do me some good to get out on that treadmill tonight if I can sneak it in.

I still have to write up my review about that movie... But I have so much to write that I need some more time to do that. I also realized that I love to write. Writing has become my next favorite past time.... Actually I'll just add it on my list.

Fun!

I read this verse this morning and thought how cool is that:

Fear thou not; For I am with thee: Be not dismayed; For I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; Yea, I will help thee, Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteosness - Isaiah 41:10 KJV

Is that pronounced "yea--aw.. or yeah, or yeah boyeee".. probably yea .. yee -- with an ay sound.

If I remember correctly it was also the same verse I read when I was in China. One day I was trying to mentally prepare to travel to this province called Gansu, most definitely one of the poorer regions in China. At that time I was working with this other org called CBN, but thier headquarters are based in Beijing. I can still feel the butterflies in my stomache. The most amazing thing was going to happen that weekend. It was when I met this man, Mr. Zhang, Sang Ri who was a Tibetan man in the mountaineous regions. We and the camera team, translator, and donor, were going to visit this man to drive him to a local hospital.

I can see the vivid imagery in my head as I write and talk about it again. Maybe I will save the rest of the story for later... It was all too awesome a sight to see...I think I am going to save that story.. Yeah.. yea.. yeee..

I am inspired once again and have decided to oficially pick up finishing up that devotional book that I once started about a year or so ago. I just need one more person to help me out and I think we will be set... I have come to realize that writing for me, just like talking, is rather quite therapeutic. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it seems I am writing into the void and have no idea what I really want to talk about, yet streams of consciousness is what my English teacher called that freestyle writing. So of course this is all another way of saying "judy's talking out loud". A lot of times people talk to themselves in thier heads, but usually keep it to themselves... so this for me is just another outlet. peace to you until another entry.

but i am reminded to live each day to its fullest... the people, the places, the things in life that we see... we are but a glimpse...

nippy cold

Today was a nippy cold day in San Francisco. I think I definitely feel the winter season upon us. But good thing I have all my winter sweaters ready. Today is the last day of theThanksgiving weekend. It seemed to have went by pretty fast, such is the cast with most holiday weekends.

The highlight of my week was definitely spending time with those you love. I had a great weekend. It was fun to have squeezed in time to volunteer on Thanksgiving morning at SF Rescue Mission and spending the rest of the time at home with family. Oh and of course, my brother Ricky loves that game Halo 2 -- and there I was in the background getting my scrabble competition on. Alas, I have found another person who beat me. The Thanksgiving dinner was splendid. My sister created a fabulous spread of appetizers, (cocunut shrimp, potato somethings, spinach dip), some great dishes like clams, salmon, and I forget the rest. I picked up the deep fried turkey from Cheurng Hing on Noriega... It was good... moist and juicy for a turkey.

I also caught two awesome movies, but of course it depends on your movie taste: I enjoyed them both for various reasons. I saw Bridget Jones 2, The Edge of Reason, with Tim.. and it's one of those movies you watch and you wonder...why so many people are interested in it. It's kind of like a British romantic comedy, with drama of course. I love that stuff ! I think females in particular love those films where you just watch and wonder... does this woman typify a character like those that I know? The movie's overarching theme is the pursuit of love and of course the dramatic twists and turns that she goes through in finding her happiness in love and how she goes about holding on to that "true love" that she found in her dashing Mr. Darcy. I think I definitely relate. One line in that movie that resounded most with me goes something like, "love that was worth fighting for.. or if 'I' was worth fighting for". I think in many ways it is always interesting to see how love plays out in relationships. In almost any relationship, in real life, or in the movies, the search for love is always the constant question that people wonder about all the time. I am grateful this Thanksgiving season for the very thought of love.

The other movie I caught was "Finding Neverland", starring Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. Of course I have lots to say about that movie, but it is time to go for a workout or for dinner. What shall it be? I shall write my review the next time. Till then...Smooches from JC. - peace jm

hi

Today is the second day that I attempt to write something on my blog.
