Provision in all the unexpected places
My red and orange striped purse which has a wide opening on the top reveals to anyone looking what I carry in there.
Usually it's my favorite notebook of scribbles, wallet, keys, some type of vitamin or mints, and tissue if it is a good day. But Sunday was a special day. Someone slipped something in there that I didn't expect.
I looked into my purse and found a little note with my name typed on it. Inside there was two index cards with paper clips, holding a one hundred dollar bill. The cover of the index card said the words, "God provides". It also had this bible verse in there.
I was overwhelmed with humility. I think in the last five years, I have learned what it is to have plenty, what it is to have nothing, and right now I am learning as Time Magazine calls this generation of "twixters"...
jumping from job to job, no stability.. and yet.. finding meaning in something.
