The Everchanging Depth of Friendships

Friendships, much like any other relationship -- I have come to realize more and more take a lot of work.

Relationships aren't like projects. You can't just put everything in order, in nice bullet points, and expect that if this than that. There really is no perfect formula for relationships. One thing though I believe is that relationships take a lot of love. It requires love, patience, understanding, kindness, and many more other things.

I have been contemplating a lot about friendships these days. It seems that as we get older, sometimes friendships change, priorities change, people change. Or maybe it is just me that's changinig.

Maybe I am changing. Am I changing?

After all it is a new year. Maybe baby.

Since the holidays have just passed and we are looking ahead to a new year, it's easy to see that people value community and relationships deeply. With the holidays -- come gatherings, meetings, gifts, time spent with those you love. And sometimes time can be worth more than money. Time is indefinitely one of those really cool gifts that God gives us. We have time. We make time to do the things we love or spend time with those we want to spend time with.

Each day is truly a gift.

Cherish the day that the Lord has made.
