Locked Out

I can't believe that I locked myself out of my house today.

It was a good reminder though. I was reminded of how it is when you can't get to the places that you want to go in the time that you expect it to happen.

Also reminded me about how we lock ourselves up into these little squares, putting boundaries on our own lives or our minds or how we perceive the world.

So the crazy thing was that I was supposed to go to work today. But I ended up not working at either jobs today.

Today is Martin Luther King day holiday. Let freedom ring. In my own solitude way, I was reminded of the freedom that was denied to people of color in my own example of being locked out of my house. Those are always the subtle things in life that happen that remind me to slow down.. slow down Judy.
